Job Description

*Assisting staff in configuring and installing their laptops, computer desktops, printers, POS machines and other computer peripheral.
*Work with vendors to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment's and software.
*Providing IT support services both for software and hardware.
*Testing of computers and ensuring that computer systems are functioning properly.
*Physical setting up of computers and installation of various computer applications
*Identifying and solving any problems that affect computer operating systems
*Individual assessments of computer systems to identify the problem(s)
*Help in examination of network servers equipment
*Maintenance of networking systems
*Maintenance and upgrading of computer systems or offering recommendations on upgrades needed
*Networking and connecting computers within the same organization to enhance communication
*Training staff and orienting them on how to use computer hardware and software systems
*Troubleshooting routine problems
*Responsible for ordering or buying of computer systems that are required or alternatively, working in close liaison with the purchasing and supplies department.
*Carrying out other duties as you may be requested by management
*1 -2 years experience supporting Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows desktops and laptops.
*Experience in troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware on both desktop and laptops.
*Experience in installing software, patches, updates on desktops and laptops.
*Experience in troubleshooting basic network, software, printing problems.
*Experience in configuring and troubleshooting vlans, Spanning Tree Protocol, access lists security etc on cisco routers and switches
