Educational Qualification: B.E / M.C.A

Job Requirements Technical Background:

- Minimum f 5 - 8+ years of development experience - Oracle 9i

- Minimum of 3 years of as Database Administrator (DBA) on Oracle

- Experience with any one of the above Databases and the following activities are required:

- Detailed knowledge of multi-tier architecture in client/server environment

- Managing development/production database environments

- Working knowledge of data warehouse architectures, concepts and technologies

- Knowledge of dimensional Star Schema and Snowflakes Schema methodologies working closely with development groups to monitor and help in trouble shooting application issues

- Providing schema creation for new development activities

- Creating primary database storage structures (tablespaces)

- Creating primary objects (tables, views, indexes)

- Good understanding in data modeling, entity-relationship modeling

- Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining any one of the above DB- s

- Monitoring and optimizing system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, and other methods

- Making tuning recommendations to developers related to PL/SQL, assisting them on expensive queries

- Providing backup and restore functions

- Writing build/maintenance scripts that allow databases and their corresponding objects to be created/modified in different environments

- Good ETL knowledge and experience

- Good in designing and developing complicated ETL mappings

- Knowledge of Linux/Windows environments

- Development of policy and procedures as they relate to database, maintenance, security and archiving

Experience with following is a plus:

- Exposure to UNIX environments

- Providing replication and partitioning activities

- Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for all database systems

- Maintaining archived data

- Retail experiences a plus for reasons of exposure to large DB challenges & solve.
