Job Description

Key duties of the role include:

To act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value added cost management service.

Managing the commercial activities on major work-streams, projects and programmes to deliver commercial control. .

Management of Professional Services Contracts, including change control and cost management

Analysis and interpretation of commercial data to enable informed business decisions

Identifying and assessing potential risks to commercial agreements and supplier performance.

Management of a team of commercial staff, including responsibility for their development.

Candidate Specification:

Experience:

The successful candidate will ideally have a background in the commercial/contract management of construction or engineering projects with demonstrable experience gained on projects within an infrastructure environment, experience of administering contracts (ICE and NEC 3 desired) and technical knowledge to deliver post-contract management services with limited supervision.

Skills:

A self- motivated individual, with the ability to build and maintain sound working relationships with a client's project team is essential, together with the ability to prioritize and work under pressure, and demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach to work. Excellent report writing, spreadsheet manipulation and communication skills are also required.

Qualifications:

BSc or vocational qualification in a relevant subject matter
Working towards professional membership of the APM would be an advantage.
