Job Description

The candidate should be a graduate/post graduate in Civil Engineering Minimum 15-20 years,Gulf experience will be an added advantage
Should have excellent communication skills and a Computer literate
Full range responsibility to head the Tendering & Estimation Department with complete ownership to prepare Bid-to-Win type Tenders in the competitive construction business

Full range responsibility to head the Tendering & Estimation Department with complete ownership to prepare Bid-to-Win type Tenders in the competitive construction business.
Responsible for all the activities with regard to the pre-tendering stage of the contract.Ensure collection of the details of the tendering documents along with the relevant instructions to prepare the tender.
Prepare risk analysis and review of the tender documents and maintain / prepare the requirement of the materials from tender drawings, BOQ and other relevant specifications. Thus keep relevant record in order.
Prepare the requirement of the materials from tender drawings, B.O.Q and other relevant specifications.
Collect the offers for the materials from the approved suppliers and sub-contractors for the services. On collection of offers to further negotiate for any discounts.
Prepare estimate for total labor cost involved in the contract based on the labor output norms set by the company.Tender analysis of unsuccessful bids.
Prepare the total cost of the project incorporating direct costs like material cost, sub-contract cost, staff cost labor cost, machinery and equipment cost and indirect costs as well including cost of prelims.
Coordinate with the Planning Manager to prepare the tender project planning programme incorporating the time schedule for completion of construction activities.
Using all the above details, prepare total cost summary of the project along with the programme schedule and submit the same for review and approval of the COO / MD.
Ensure submission of approved cost estimate and programme schedule along with the required details as per the tender and Prepare cost to Complete and handover to the Project Team/ERP Team.
Coordinate with the customer until the tender is awarded. In addition People (Team) Management skills for the effective handling of Business requirements, by fulfilling the timelines.
Ensure collection of all contract documents from the consultant/ customer once the contract is awarded and hand over the same to the Quantity Surveyor for preparing the post tendering activities.
Implement Quality System as per laid down procedures for all his / her activities .
Initiate and implement corrective and preventive actions for any non-confirming situations observed in own area of control.
