Job Description

1. Strong knowledge of commodity markets, pricing.
2. Ability to develop strong working relationship with existing contributors.
3. Proactively manage existing contributed data sets to ensure data is maintained to high quality.
4. Clear understanding of market participants (traders/mandi officials) workflow.
5. Sound knowledge of supplier management and data acquisition and ability to negotiate with new suppliers for new content.
6. Initiate the creation of new content and liaise with relevant internal groups to ensure new content is added on our systems.
7. Ability to self-manage own work for multiple projects, constantly reassessing priorities to meet strict time deadlines.
8. Communicate market developments, findings and recommendations to all participants within the organization.
9. Setting up Desk for Trading in various types of agro commodities which includes sourcing & supply of these commodities from any part of the world to any part of the World including India.
10. Search new, reliable & genuine customers & suppliers of Spice in India & other countries.
11. Calculation & estimation of Purchase Cost & Selling Prices. Handle P&L responsibility.
12. Sending & negotiating quotation & finalization thereof as per company policy.
13. Visit to Factory, Site ,Customer & suppliers place for quality checking, verification & inspection
14. Follow up with suppliers, traders, brokers for timely procurement & supply, and with buyer post order confirmation for advance, L/C, scrutinizing L/Cs , L/C Amendments
15. To liaison with CHAs, Shipping lines, to negotiate Freight Rates, arranging Containers, Regular follow up till the cargo reaches destined discharge port and till delivery taken by the buyer, Booking of Export containers, Checking pre and post shipment documents
16. Preparing Sales Estimates & ensuring target achievements, in coordinating with marketing team.
17. Regular Price Updates of various products (current & forwards) to customers, Management
18. Keeping tab on new trends in commodity Trading & Competitors business
19. Undertaking various Sales & Marketing activities for growth of the business
20. Analysis of world-wide Import & Export Data, identifying & establishing new markets
21. Strong written and oral communication skills and willingness to travel.Be a team-player.
