Job Description

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

The CTO will report to the Board of Directors in the near term and to the CEO in the long term. The incumbent is responsible for establishing the companys technical vision, developing the product roadmap and leading all aspects of the companys Product Management, Engineering, Implementation, Technical Support, Quality Assurance, Project and Program management and Technical Services. This position is responsible for maintaining existing systems, while providing direction in all technology-related issues in support of information operations. The CTO plays an integral role in setting the companys strategic direction, development and future growth, positioning the companys HCMproduct and service offering as a leader in the industry.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The CTO is responsible for the Product Management team, Engineering team, Quality Assurance, Implementation, Technical Support and Program Management office. The incumbent is responsible for the following
Leading the Human Capital Management software roadmap, development, services, implementation and support processes
Overseeingproduction engineering teams, to attain maximum efficiency in the design and production of legal web-based products.
Identifying and developing partnerships with various partners and suppliers which the company can leverage in developing, maintaining and upgrading its HCM product offering
Directing activities so that products are developed keeping in view the future requirements, on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives and meet ever growingmarket demands.
Keeping up to date with various SaaSmodels , cloud computing and other technological advancements
Reviewing, analyzing and approving the departments operational and project budgets.
Evaluating and approving new headcount, hiring, and employee performance for the Team reporting into the incumbent .

JOB DUTIES

Develop and sharewiththe organizations investors, management, staff, partners, customers, and other stakeholders the companys technological vision, opportunities, and challenges.
Ensure the companys internal technological processes and customer-facing services comply with customer expectations and applicable laws and regulations for privacy, and security
Define and communicate company values and standards for developing systems, equipment, or software within the company.
Ensure that technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization.
Ensure company technical problems are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Establish standards of performance and monitor conformance for staff (through performance reviews)
Define process for effective product implementations and services clearly defining the escalation Matrix.
Define Quality standards for the product releases.
Promote achievement of the companys business goals within a context of community collaboration by developing policies for sharing software code, technological innovation, business processes, and other intellectual property.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices
Track competing products to understand new trends and features.
Contribute to software development practices, standardization of technologies, and evolution of best practices by collaborating with peers outside the company, presenting at conferences, and writing for publications.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

15+ years of experience in software architecture, design, development, implementation, and customer relationship management
Strong leadership capabilities with proven ability to influence, inspire, and motivate the Technical team.
Strong written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Professional approach with a high degree of integrity
Experience recommending new technology and processes that will improve customer service, reduce costs etc.
BTech / MTech, from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
