Job Description

To manage the day-to-day operations and P&L of the center in line with the strategic plans of the company by effective utilization of resources to ensure quality patient care and effective doctor engagement methodologies

Detailed duties and responsibilities

Strategic

Prepare the Annual Operating Plan and performance standards for the center in collaboration with the Regional heads and the Corporate in line with strategic plans of the organization

Conduct regular studies in hospital acquired and post surgical infection in the center, identify trends and collaborate with the Corporate Medical & Quality team to ensure appropriate action plans at put in place

Operational

Devise and implement action plans for achievement of financial targets of the center

Strengthen the relationships with existing surgeons through constant doctor engagement initiatives to ensure long lasting relationships

Build new business relationships with reputed surgeons and pass the leads to the Doctor Empanelment team, thus contributing to increase in the revenues of the center

Prepare and maintain effective scheduling and availability of wards to prevent delays in surgeries and ensure efficient procedures in billing and other procedures to prevent delays

Ensure timely, accurate and legible documentation is maintained by consultants, RMOs and Nurses

Ensure maintenance of highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in order to achieve least number of hospital acquired infections

Ensure pre & post-surgical nursing care is of highest quality by continuous assistance, training and monitoring

Maintain an efficient patient feedback and response system to gather feedback and respond to problems in a timely manner

Oversee procurement, materials management and inventory management and ensure cost effectiveness

Coordinate with the Center Medical & Quality head and ensure that all clinical policies and procedures within the Center meets the requirements of NABH, State/Local rules & regulations and other licensing or accrediting bodies

Conduct periodic clinical and medical reviews along with the Medical Advisory Board and ensure timely execution of the initiatives/follow-up activities

Monitor the performance of the Center in terms of revenue & profitability against targets and take corrective steps as required

Undertake cost optimization initiatives such as reducing the usage of consumables, monitoring Fixed costs, variable costs, overheads etc.

Ensure that medical waste management system is in place according to standards

Oversee safekeeping of center medical records and ensure availability at all times for auditing & reference purposes

Ensure that ethical medical practice is followed at all times at the center

Interact with patients and attendants and build lasting relationships

Assist and coordinate with the center level sales head in establishing Company's brand in the locality/area/city through various sales and marketing campaigns

Act as an escalation point for all operational issues related to the facility and take suitable action by interfacing with the concerned stakeholders

Manage medico-legal cases and represent the center to legal bodies wherever necessary

Financial

Prepare the annual budget with the assistance of Corporate team

Monitor the budget utilization and other financial measures for the center; Study and analyze causes for significant deviation from budget and take corrective action for the same, if required

People

Oversee if the right number and quality of manpower is hired in accordance with the manpower planning

Establish performance requirements and evaluate the work of reportees in order to achieve the department goals and develop reportees who are unable to meet expected performance levels

Support HR in investigating and resolving critical attrition and increasing employee engagement levels at the center

Oversee duty rosters in order to ensure effective utilization of manpower

Manage the outsourced staff and ensure efficient running of the center

Qualification

MBA/MHA from a recognized institute with Graduation in medical sciences (preferred)

Experience

(Indicative)

8-10 years of experience majorly in operations function and should have handled P/L roles and responsibilities (experience in Healthcare industry in preferable)
