General Role Description
To perform CAE structural analysis, Process analysis (Moldflow) and Mid plane/3D Modeling using standard CAE tools like Abaqus, Hypermesh and Moldflow simulation software. To perform the design, development, and troubleshooting of Engineering Plastics parts used in Automotive, Industrial, Consumer and Construction applications.
Supports India business growth by providing CAE, Process simulation and design support to customer projects as defined by the CAE leader.
Develop plastic designs to the point of manufacture.
Prepare reports and summarizes project results for presentation to customers.
Interaction with sales and marketing teams to provide updates on project progress.
Interaction with customers to provide project progress reporting if requested and interaction with Regional team.
Planning and maintaining software licenses or hardware
In depth knowledge of plastics materials properties and specifications.
In depth knowledge and experience in designing plastic parts for injection molding.
In depth knowledge and experience of plastic material properties for carrying out CAE Analysis- structural & NVH.
In depth knowledge and experience of assembly methods for plastic parts.
Working knowledge of regulatory agency requirements.
Working knowledge of risk management tools, and working within a team to analyze and mitigate project risks.
Strong background in design of injection molded parts and assemblies and their associated manufacturing processes.
Good familiarity with mold construction, design, and industry standards for mold processes and equipment.
Experience in designing complex plastic injection components and the analysis of designs using simulation software
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering / Masters in Mechanical Engineering.
Have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; Individual must communicate well with all levels of management and employees as well as customers and external collaborators
