Job Description

Key Objective: To build a Structured Trade and Commodity Finance [STCF] business, acquire clients, originate deals and generate revenue growth from key Structured Trade and Commodity Finance clients.

Job Profile:

1] Originate, structure and execute STCF transactions with focus on specific industry sectors such as Food & Agribusiness, Energy, Metals & Minerals including opportunistic transactions that meet the risk criteria of the bank.

2] Work jointly with Credit Risk and Operations teams to design and improve credit programs and parameters that will enable growth of structured trade and commodity finance programs.

3] Own P&L and Balance Sheet accountability relating to Transaction Banking Sales for assigned or managed portfolio of clients, deliver profitable growth and meet other financial objectives.

4] Lead structuring discussions internally and externally based on insights on client deal objectives, key deal triggers, risks, legal framework and RBI / other regulatory conditions.

5] Engage in active dialogue with clients and internal stakeholders such as Relationship, Credit, Legal, Treasury, Compliance and Servicing teams to structure robust solutions for clients.

1] Comprehensive knowledge of structured trade and commodity finance products - export credit & insurance, trade credits, inventory / warehouse receipt financing along with governing regulations.

2] Solid knowledge of Trade, FX products and relevant banking regulations - ability to leverage this to enable comprehensive solution for client and cross sell (bundling of solutions)

3] In depth experience of handling clients (Large Corporates or Commercial clients) in Indian market including specific and intensive deal experience involving legal negotiations and deal structuring.

4] Entrepreneurial mind set as the business needs to be set up from scratch and will require tenacity in collaboration and forging partnerships with external & internal stakeholders.

Target Companies: Indian or MNC Bank or Trade Finance related Corporations.

Portfolio Managed: Experience in handling a portfolio of trades and exposures comprising of structured trade finance and commodity trading linked counterparties such as Trafigura, Cargill, Bunge, or Indian corporates involved in large domestic or international trade
