Identify, analyse and track regulatory compliances and amendments, work closely with market intermediaries and institutions to track changes in compliance requirements and identify new rule proposals
Monitor India regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the organization
Draft summary and provide initial analysis of new rule proposals to identify businesses that are potentially impacted;
Establish the key Statutory and Regulatory compliance requirements and controls, checks & balances applicable to the organization
Establish responsibilities and work with various internal groups to have a compliance program in place to ensure deliverables on time and facilitate regulatory filings
Provide oversight working with Risk and Compliance and other Business Units to ensure no gaps
Establish and maintain India Compliance Calendar; Compliance Reporting; Periodic Management Presentations, Compliance Matters and Incidents Oversight and Local India Compliance Governance
Support specific local training needs working with Enterprise groups & partner with groups to deliver integrated education for key programs.
Work with Procurement to review Contracts and amendments for service providers to comply with standard Contract templates and corporate policy.
Support Legal in the review, negotiation and drafting of non-standard contracts.
Interacting with outside legal counsels for briefs and opinions and Build relationships with key regulators like the Department of Telecom and Labour Officers.
Develop and/or review appropriate contracts related to employees. Assist with employment law compliances, including legal work with respect to employee documents, policies, Shops and Establishments Acts compliances, review of compensation and benefit programs and plans, etc. Escalate issues as appropriate.
Assist the Company Secretary to oversee compliance with corporate requirements
Work internally with counterparts in other location(s), risk oversight or centralized services, such as Ethics and Compliance, Risk, Audit, Security, Procurement, Finance, and Tax, to ensure appropriate delivery of integrated services.
Experience in working with cross functional teams / departments in the organization
Good Understanding on the standard contract templates and corporate policies
Should be open for travelling to different locations
Working knowledge of India laws and regulations
7+ years of experience in compliance, legal, risk management, with a legal consulting firm/ IT/ITES company or with a regulatory agency
A degree in Company Secretaryship and knowledge of US regulations and laws is an added advantage
