This position reports to the Director PPI and is responsible for the following.
Understanding and ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local:
o Code compliance rules
o Client requirements
HUD / FHA and GSE regulations regarding property registration, Inspection and preservation
Establish and maintain a database of applicable property registration requirements and local contact names and ensuring that property SLAs include
Participate in industry working and trade groups
Ensure properties are properly registered with the local municipality and MERS (where applicable)
Provide guidance to the operations team by establishing and implementing procedures according to local, statutory, and federal preservation guidelines.
Create and maintain a database that includes local building and repair codes and contact information for local code enforcement officials.
Establish operational procedures to ensure proper usage of the code database, as well as adherence to the requirements documented within the database.
Maintain and adhere to the preservation requirements of government agencies with owned real estate assets.
Ensure PPIs adherence to the requirements that have been mandated by customers, or adopted by our operations team.
This position requires the candidate to have a strong understanding of the property preservation and inspection guidelines for real estate assets. The ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to organize research on property preservation-related subject matter, and establish and implement procedures consistent with the published guidelines.
The candidate must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility as well as the ability to work effectively with global cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Applications to include, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. A four year degree from an accredited college is required.
