Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for the overall buying product and delivery of all campaigns within their client portfolio.
Supports the I&A team, and where appropriate in conjunction with C&C, in activating and amplifying the media plan with the media vendor
Where relevant attends media briefings from client, C&C or strategy
Responsibility for buying across all media
Responsible for completing weekly tracking on all campaign parameters on all TV buys.
Lead/share market knowledge as key channel champions with broader department and agency. Tracks delivery of all the buying parameters, value and benchmarks
100% proficiency and accuracy with the financials
Active role in briefing the media owners.
Proactive in terms of highlighting any issues with the buy, media developments, trends or marketplace conditions that impact buying performance.
Thoroughly checks all pro-formas and provides to I&A Manager for sign-off prior to invoicing.
Ensures that Analysts deliver on all key responsibilities.
In conjunction with the I&A Managers assists in the training and development of Analysts
Key participant in I&A Meetings, including reporting on the latest insights for a particular media supplier/channel.
Develop key relationships with the media, clients or creative agencies at a similar level to deliver benefits to the team and the agency.
Ensures all processes employed by the I&A team are SOX compliant

Required knowledge and skills:

Good media buying/negotiation skills.
Trades daily to ensuring all buys are efficient and improving every day.
Excellent understanding of all implementation and buying systems (BCC, Matrix, Etam, Mediawise, Adex)
Begin to use and gain additional trading insights through GroupM Knowledge suite tools.
  Organizedand structured.
Critical analysis of all Survey/market data ensuring informed buying decisions.
Excellent presentation skills beginning to sell buying performance to clients.
Attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.
Basic understanding all key mediums and how the marketplace impacts media buys.
Developing relationships with media vendors
