Job Description

Role:

I. Business Development - As the lead for the New Markets vertical, you will hold the responsibility for the generation of business from new markets, across all brands. Creation of the market entry strategy for each new market and its roll out will be a key component of your role.

II. Market Complexity - This role will drive the expansion of our business into new markets, each with their own idiosyncrasies. Understanding the complexities of each market, and developing appropriate marketing strategies to address them, would be critical for success.

III. Leadership Responsibilities - Leading a core team tasked with this responsibility, as well as working with cross-functional teams, to deliver to your targets. You will also be responsible for driving the understanding of different markets within the overall marketing and sales organization.

Purpose of Role - The opportunity space is large and diverse, as well as attractive & challenging. This role will require strong strategic skills, as it will lead the thinking on our approach to diverse markets across various geographies & categories. A key part of this role is to develop a deeper understanding of national and international markets within the organization, and lead our go-to-market strategy for each. The ability to navigate across key stakeholders within the organization will be necessary for success and traction. As a key business stakeholder you will also be the repository of learning for future opportunities, on which the business will lean on for development of business strategies.

Top 3-5 Accountabilities -

(a) Identification of key markets that will contribute to business growth

(b) Development of effective market entry strategies and execution plans for each

(c) Revenue generation across brands basis the annual operating plan

(d) Ensuring market share leadership in new markets

Qualifications and Experience Required

Candidates from top b-schools (IIMs, FMS, XLRI) currently working with top FMCG, consumer durables, automobiles or other consumer facing businesses.

Candidates should have had hands-on experience on marketing launches across geographies, both nationally and internationally, and on market potential assessment and development across new markets.
