Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Leading the Group Underwriting Team

Managing and coordinating for the following -

Group Health and Group Personal Accident Quotes

Handling experience rating of Group Portfolios

System Requirement gathering and co-ordination with IT team for development of Quote Engine Platform

Providing Underwriting inputs in Product Development & revision for Group Policies

Coordinating with Operations and Claims for Inception, Policy Servicing and Claims settlement

Coordinating with Actuarial for Pricing and Reinsurance support

Coordination with local sales team in understanding and developing the risk profile of group policies for underwriting within the set guidelines.

Maintain underwriting process consistency for adherence to and better the quote submission and issue resolution TAT.

Managing a team of Underwriters and overseeing day to day quotes on group Health and PA

Underwriting Manual

Development of UW Manuals for Group Policies

IT Platform Development

Work in close co-ordination with IT team for system requirement gathering and UAT

Product Filing Inputs

For Group Policies with IRDA

Portfolio Management & MIS

Managing Group Portfolio and MIS requirements for Group UW
Team Management

Managing a team of underwriters for group underwriting

Experience / Knowledge Requirements: (should include years of experience and any specific expertise/experience/knowledge you are seeking in the candidate)

Minimum 8 years of direct experience in managing group underwriting for Health, PA, Group Travel Products (for Post graduates). More experience will be required for a graduate
Direct experience in handling UW quotations for group business.
Prior experience in managing large clients

Good experience in dealing with Brokers and Top Agents.

Market Intelligence on handling group health business.

Product Development experience will be an added advantage

Having good Competitor info & knowledge on Market Practice.

Proficiency in Excel and report generation.

Personal Competencies Required:

Good Communication Verbal and Written

Experience of working & coordinating with multiple stake holders

Negotiation Skills

Managing tight TAT for quotes.

Education and Other Requirement:

Minimum Graduate Any Stream

Insurance Qualification an added advantage

Experience in Handling Group Travel will be an advantage.
