Job Description

Position summary

This role is a key link between the contentand development groups and the support of the MSF platform. Providedaily operational support and mature a global support model with in the GTS organization. The main focus of your role will be supporting the Organization Global MSF product. This platform is a key product within the Markit suite of products.

Duties & account-abilities:

Provide hands-on support of MSF web applications, proprietary software, databases, database servers, web servers and related technologies to the business. Deploy, configure, maintain and upgrade MSF proprietary web applications, databases, software and servers. Log, analyze and respond to exception messages from live systems to maximize uptime. Proactively monitor systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
Provide a high level of customer service and technology operations support to MSF staff and clients. Monitor support queues and respond to internal and external support requests within SLAs. Provide incident and change request tracking, fault identification and resolution. Trouble-shoot and escalate product bug identification. Write major incident reports, knowledge base articles and requirement specifications for new support tools.
Assist with testing and deployment of new code, database changes, website changes and other production system changes
You will be required to work weekends as project work dictates

You will need commercial Experience and knowledge in the following areas:

Knowledge and experience in windows server operating system
Experience in SQL queries
Experience in Jira
Experience in IIS management
Experience in using file transfer protocols such as FTP,SFTP.FTPS
Knowledge of F5 Load balancers.
Good network troubleshooting skills
Good understanding of security standards.
Experience with management of SSL Certificate infrastructure
Proven experience in an environment to high workloads and multiple changing priorities.
Proven ability to solve problems and issues at all levels.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Been available out of hours for 3rd level Escalation of production issues per the Escalation Policy
Demonstrated documentation skills
