The successful candidate will work either as an Assistant Project Manager, or Project Manager under supervision of a Senior Project Manager or as part of a team to provide project management services to our client(s). This position involves being an external facing Project Manager as well as having an internal management responsibilities. This position may include acting in the lead role for the delivery of a cross Mott MacDonald group project service delivery.
Key tasks will include:
Act as point of contact with client.
Lead and manage project delivery teams and/or support Senior PMs, in the delivery of projects.
Be responsible for the delivery of projects in accordance with client requirements using best practice and to time and on budget under the direction of a senior PM
Plan and programme projects throughout their lifetime
Monitor project deliverables and ensure that key performance indicator measures are achieved.
Establish effective communications across the project delivery, client and stakeholder teams
Contribute to control of the internal and external commercial aspects of projects across a range of contractual arrangements.
Support and manage the delivery of projects in accordance with the quality plan, including participation in regular internal and client audits.
Coordinate and manage the monthly reporting cycle for particular projects - including preparation of internal and external reports, financial forecasts, project updates.
To be considered you'll need to have had experience working within our primary markets along with:
A degree in a construction, engineering or project management discipline
A relevant professional qualification or evidence of working towards a relevant professional qualification. RICS or APM is preferred but other professional qualification will be considered.
Appropriate experience across a range of projects, contract/procurement routes and ideally market sectors
Experience managing and working in teams
Evidence of taking responsibility for delivery of a project or part of a project.
Good client and stakeholder relationship building skills
Effective communication with the project team.
Good knowledge of planning and other aspects of project controls
