To lead vehicle (Passenger car) quality engineering team for new project launch activity.
To achieve Quality KPI for each milestone of new model launch.
Drive & lead other engineering sections for concerns effective resolution.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. New project launch activity
a. Ensure new model vehicle quality activity progress in terms of quality KPI to meet project milestones.
b. To conduct first level analysis of concerns related to process and product & assign responsibility for
c. Drive for countermeasure action & its effectiveness of closure at each trial phase.
d. To prepare master schedule for new project activity in terms of engineering & Genba activities.
e. Prepare quality conformation plan with plant co-ordination & conduct as scheduled.
f. Lead new project SOP judgment & delivery judgment from total customer satisfaction team (TCSX)
g. To participate in project meetings & report the daily progress of project activities.
h. Conduct process audit using PCC, installation drawing, inspection standards & standard
operation sheets. (PCC Process control charts).
2. Team management
i. Plan skill up for new members & monitor its progress.
j. Provide technical support wherever required by the team
k. Enhance the First Analysis skill of Team members.
l. Able to motivate team members and to be a good Leader.
m. Monitor progress of team members actions to match project KPI.
3. Department KPI management
n. On time & Effective concern closure.
o. Ensure team budget is well within control and meeting target.
p. Prepare recurrence prevention reports based on lessons learnt during new project.
q. Prepare technical reports based on FTA of product & process quality issues.
( FTA Fault tree analysis )
r. Prepare milestone reports and present to management
Monitoring project/vehicle milestones and meeting time and cost targets of the project.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor of Engineering or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Automobile )
7-12 years of experience in vehicle quality engineering / assurance in Auto OEM withstrong technical knowledge on vehicle systems.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- To have strong technical knowledge & diagnostic skills about passenger car systems
(Such as CRDi, A/T, ECM, BCM, ABS, Audio, AIRBAG & vehicle electrical system)
- Thorough knowledge of PCC, FMEA, SPC, MSA & 7 QC tools.
( PCC- Process control charts, FMEA Failure mode effect analysis, SPC Statistical process
control, MSA Measurement system analysis )
