Job Description

Import & Export Objectives:-
Experience in handling all accounts & import/Export related documents.
Expertise in Export/Import Documentation (BLs/Invoice/Packing List/etc.)
Well versed in LC opening, documentation and negotiation for import and export, and co-ordination with bank for effective payment.
Coordinating with Overseas vendors regarding Documentation/Shipment Status/LCs/Payments.
Coordinating with regulatory on FSSAI/JDGFT/ Excise/ C&F Agents.
Obtaining Certificate of Origin from chamber of Commerce/ Export Inspection agencies
Good knowledge of FEMA rules/ Statutory Compliance.
Responsible for the complete Management to Export / Import Cycle & Logistics
Interaction and coordination with cross functional departments Purchase/ Production, planning Technical Ops, QA and others for timely receipt of required raw material, finished goods, equipments, projects etc.
Interaction and completion of Documents for import and export with JDGFT, Customs, chambers of Commerce, Export Inspection Agencies etc.
Get trained for product knowledge to communicate independently with suppliers/ C&F Agents.
Negotiate Freight and Clearing and Forwarding charges with C&F Agents.
Would be responsible for managing and maintaining import process documents in a cost effective and efficient way.
Would be responsible for managing and maintaining all Custom duties regarding imports in an effective and responsible manner.
Would be the point of contact between the CHA and the company for early and smooth release of consignments.

Procurement Objectives: -
Fully responsible for the uninterrupted supply of materials needed to support the India operations. Execute global, regional and local supply strategies ensuring alignment with division purchasing at all times. Establish material standards and budgets for planning purposes and measure actual financial performance (PPV) in conjunction with division requirements. Actively manage supply base, develop and execute risk management programs and establish cost reduction targets annually to drive continuous gross margin improvements.
Purchase price variance management.
Cost reduction / gross margin improvements.
Alignment of India region with division purchasing strategies
Manage supply risk for all manufacturing locations of AN.
Managing purchasing operations in compliance with appropriate policies and procedures.
Supplier relationship management and development.
Excellent communications and integration with division procurement strategies and objectives
Primary interface / liaison with division procurement organization

Raw Material Sourcing and Procurement Optimization:
Locations: Abbott manufacturing site and TPM support as required.
Responsible for the consistent supply of quality raw materials, on time, to support manufacturing operations with no interruption in supply.
Consistency of contracts across commodities and ensure appropriate risk profile to AN.
Deploy risk mitigation programs to limit exposure to supply disruptions

Supplier Management:
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers both locally and worldwide.
Facilitate supplier selection and ongoing supplier relationships with other areas of AN including Engineering, Packaging Development, R&D, QA, Creative Services and plants.
Leverage relationships to satisfy strategic procurement requirements for the corporation.

Supporting purchases and commitment of funds.
Establish and submit financial plans to Category Manager for all commodities.

Coach and inspire global to assure they are successful and aligned with the AN Vision.
Develop procurement strategies that support India operation objectives and align with division as appropriate.

Maintain an environment where purchasing personnel perform job responsibilities in accordance with domestic expectations and guidelines.
Guide stakeholders and suppliers in proper Abbott procedures to maintain the same ethical standards.

Analytical Skills:
Possess the ability to understand value engineering, supplier balance sheets, cash flow, and income statements. Perform detailed reviews of complex bid documents.
Incumbent must be able to understand all aspects of divisional business operations, financial and technical, to ensure proper sourcing and functionality of supplies and services for the divisions. Be able to interpret Industry/market data to evaluate the impact to our supply chain.
