Position: Assistant Manager - Finance & Accounts

The position exists in order to provide finance and accounting support for upcoming wind business of Company with the objective of recording and maintaining proper business transactions Company s business with high level of accuracy within the limits of policies and procedures of Company 's regulatory, statutory policies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Minimum Educational Qualifications for this position Qualified Chartered Accountant
Relevant Experience: Qualified CA preferably with 1 to 3 yrs of work experience
Business Understanding: Understanding of competition, knowledge of Domestic/ International market, Industry trends etc. Understanding of Industry / Competition / Market

Knowledge Behavioral Skills
Sound knowledge of Accounting, Direct and Indirect Tax. Working experience of Accounting till finalization of accounts. Good knowledge of internal controls and systems. People skills Interactive with people

1 Performance Tracking and Reporting
Prepare detailed statements to monitor actual performance vs. budgeted on periodic basis. Receive inputs and prepare variance statement for wind business for management review.

In order to compare actual data with budget for review of performance of business by management along with explanation for variance. Timely submission & completeness of variance report
2 Internal Control / External Audit Preparedness
Prepare statements and information statements for auditors. Provide documents and other information as per their requirement. Provide explanations to resolve their queries. Liaison with auditors for timely completion of audits and other certification work. Implement corrective actions from audit findings.

In order to ensure completion of audit as per schedule and ensure compliance to all policies and procedures. No. of non-compliances/ observations

3 Relationship Management for New Business Opportunities & Vendors
Interact with bankers for operational purposes (loan repayment, vendor payments, bank statements, etc) and consultants for opinions & references on tax updates.

In order to ensure timely completion of operational activities. Processing time for availability of data & information
4 Monitor Conditions Precedent
Prepare statements containing financials & other information of the company to project finance team for onward submission to lenders.

In order to ensure compliance with financial covenants as per loan agreements. Timely submission of information
5 Accounting
Track accuracy of all expenses booking and payments released to vendors. Generate bills as per government certificates. Inform third parties involved for bill submission to SEB. Follow up payments and track credit of cheques in Company s account. Prepare reconciliation, trial balance & balance sheets, and consolidated results. Prepare unaudited/audited reports (annual/ quarterly). Provide all documents to Group Company team. Monitor purchase procedures and implementation of recommendations by audit department

In order to ensure proper maintenance of records of business transactions and timely preparation of reports as per AS & policies. Accuracy of accounting transactions
Compliance to policies & procedures
6 Taxation
Plan and calculate taxes as per current taxation laws. Make recommendations to supervisor for review & approval. Compile and prepare monthly/ quarterly/ half-yearly/ annually returns (sales tax, service tax, income tax, professional tax, etc). Submit to supervisor for review & approval of annual returns. Provide data/ clarifications to tax consultants for assessment & filings

In order to comply with tax laws, timely filing of returns & avoid any penalties. Adherence to tax filing timelines
Accuracy of reports/ returns as per tax laws
7 Preparation of Bank Reconciliation Statements
Prepare BRS statements containing book balances and bank balances & other relevant information.

In order to ensure preparation and submission of BRS. Timely preparation and submission of BRS
8 Accounting for Fixed assets and maintain proper register and other requisite compliance
Preparation / Calculation for capitalization of Fixed Assets, verification of calculation by auditors and maintenance of FA register.

In order to ensure preparation and submission of BRS. Timely Capitalization of Fixed Assets, confirmation from auditors and annual verification of FA register
