Media Management: The proposed candidate should have direct and personal relations with Chief Editor, Editors, Publishers and should be able to maintain contiguous and friendly relationship with Tier I houses both print and electronic media houses for positive news coverage and thus improve brand image of Huawei
Develop at least 5 to 6 editors, publishers, champions for Huawei. Enhance and increase Huawei positive stories in Tier I media. Develop strong positive editorial comments/ editorial pieces in Tier I media. Develop Huawei champions among global media based in India. Take Tier I media editors and journalists to Huawei HQ for FAM trips. Promote Huawei key messaging amongst the editors and develop editorials on Huawei Key technologies. Develop annual roadmap on media strategy.
Should be familiar and able to maintain social media as well.
Strategy and Corp. Branding:
Design Indian media communication strategy, Integrated Corporate Branding strategy, communication themes, action plans, makes strategies for key media communication events and design crisis communication strategy and messages. Prepare and execute a strategy to help Huawei get recognition from the Industry and government.
Should be able to plan and execute on end to end basis large scale Corp. Branding events 1-2 per quarter by coordinating with Tier 1 Media Houses, Sr. Govt. Officials, Industry stake holders and Internal BG's and HQ SME's.
Develop a robust crisis management strategy. Strong networking to stop/ kill negative Huawei stories,
Support and collaborate with internal BG's marketing campaigns on media communication planning and content creation
Integrated CSR Strategy:
Design Huawei India's integrated CSR strategy in line with our global CSR strategy, for enhancing Huawei India's image, meeting requirements as per Company Act 2013 and also explore to integrated Huawei's CSR activities with Govt. agenda in order to get maximum recognition and improve brand image.
Manage and mentor team of one to two - one handling media and the other handling integrated corporate branding and CSR and be prepared to work alone and take initiative steps, if required.
1) With at least 10-15 years experience in well-known Indian Tier 1 media House, Leading Telecom service provider, Enterprise or PR Agency;
2) Remaining close relationships with India's top media (such as the Times Group, Hindustan Times, Indian Express, TV 18 Network, NDTV, India Today Group etc. and International media operating in Delhi) at high level;
3) With India wide view.
B. Industry background: a mix of ICT, International Media and Famous PR agent.
C. Education background: Graduate and Post Graduate in Media/ Marketing/ Public Relations from top institutes/ universities with priority.
