Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

- To provide the overall guidance and structure for defining, creating and maintaining the software architecture for a multi-business enterprise.
- To provide highly specialized and advanced technical expertise and mentoring in the technological development of existing or proposed computer programs and systems to process data, and to help align it with the overall structure.
- To roll out the plan of application development with regard to SOA.
- To articulate the execution model for application development.
- Experience on API factory / API Exchange.
- To provide for continuity in all major application solution decisions.
- To consult on implementation and integration of Data Warehouses with the Application Architecture.
- To identify and analyse / incorporate new and emerging trends in applications architecture.
- To make strategic methodology, development, and major expenditure recommendations to senior management.
- To perform design and code reviews and ensures that uniform application design standards are maintained.
- Work closely with project & delivery teams and manage planning, designing, and implementation of projects
- Should be able to review application design and give solution w.r.t design pattern.
- Should be able to resolve high-level functional issues.

Essential Attributes:

- Detailed understanding and experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Knowledge of Application Architecture Design Patterns.
- Knowledge and experience of ETL.
- Understanding of Data Modelling.
- Understanding of Data Migration tools.
- Must have Consulting Skills, Team Management/ Team Building Skills, Change Management Skills, Process/Project Management (Cost, Time, Quality and Scope) Skills.
- Should be proactive in risk identification and mitigation.
- Managing project scope, schedule, cost, risks and resource planning, including working out ROI.
- Should be good at People Management.
- Coordinating and delegating tasks to technical team.
- Excellent communication skills and a team player.

Desirable Skills:

- Knowledge of Capital Markets business, including Institutional Equities, Investment Banking & Prime Broking / Custody.
- Understanding of Corporate Credit business.
- Knowledge of Housing Loan & Retail Lending business.
- Knowledge of Commodities business.
- Knowledge of Insurance business.
- An inquiring mind.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Resource planning and management.
