Job Description

Role Overview:

Lead: conceptualizes, designs, constructs, tests, and implements portions of business and technical information technology solutions through application of appropriate software development life cycle methodology.

Define and maintain framework
Develop, standardize and implement framework solutions.
Define and maintain standard framework templates
Perform product assessments.
Participate in service delivery proposals.
Support the deployment of management solutions to the global HP customers.
Interacts with the chief engineers to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context and organizational strategic direction.
Lead and motivate team members to ensure project deadlines are met on time and under budget.
Coordinates and collaborates with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and identified solutions meet customer needs and expectations.
Understands and uses the appropriate tools to analyze, identify and resolve business and/or technical problems. Establishes and maintains security, integrity and business continuity controls and documents.

General Technical Skills and Experiences:

Must have knowledge and experience in MS Windows Server 2003\2008\2012 Server. Knowledge of Windows 7 and\or Windows 8/8.1 is a plus.
Must be able to write custom scripts / programs (VBScript, batch files, WMI, SQL Query language)
Experience with, and working knowledge of SQL Server.
Active Directory expertise (FRS, GPOs, Object Attributes) in a large scale environment.
Familiarity with networks and troubleshooting
Windows OS certification (MCITP, MCPD) - optional
Experience with troubleshooting package deployment and installation issues, with package creation and MSI knowledge a plus

Altiris Technical Skills and Experiences:

Extensive knowledge of Altiris 7.1/7.5
5+ years of experience using Altiris in a production environment with Notification/Site server experience being a plus
3+ years of experience creating customer reports within Altiris 7.1 or 7.5
3+ years of experience of standard hardware and software inventory reporting within Altiris
3+ years of experience with, and working knowledge of SQL Server including creation of custom reports using SQL against the Altiris data.
Experience with hardware and software inventory using Altiris Audit functionality, with DDMI experience a plus
