Job Description

Role Summary :

Account Manager is responsible for developing/ handling key clients to achieve revenue targets aligning with sales budgets. He/she will be responsible for lead generation, client management, sales operations, and managing relationships with channel partners and customers. Additionally, the Account Manager will be part of a team conducting market research and analysis for selecting pipeline products.

Roles & Responsibilities :

New customer Development :

* Create new markets, implement entry strategies and achieve speedy penetration in domestic as well as international regions/markets
* Lead generation and development
* Conduct technology presentations to the customers/ partners
* Assist in commercial negotiations
* Own the account and manage relationships

Revenue Targets:

* Generate and maintain a sales forecast for accounts assigned
* Successful implementation of sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets
* Managing and assisting team members ,channel partners & clients to ensure revenue goals 

Managing customer and channel partner relationships:

* Serve as the primary customer contact for technical and business issues for the accounts assigned
* Ensuring that the interests of customers, channel partners and company are aligned at all times
* Coordination for Sales promotion and advertising events
Sales operations
* Overseeing the smooth processing of orders and ensuring timely deliveries
* Preparing and implementing the sales collections plan

Management reporting :

* Preparing market research reports, sales forecasts, customer specific technical and commercial reports
* Preparing the periodic review reports

Accuracy of sales forecast and achieving sales targets
Efficient client and channel partner management
New client development
Timely and accurate management reporting
Alignment to core values of the company

Required Work Experience :

* Must have an understanding of biomedical and lifescience reagents
* Must be adept with/at incoterms, preparing quotes, understanding associated local taxes and duties
* Must have prior B2B sales experience in lifescience reagents
* Prior experience in sales of recombinant proteins and antibodies will be an advantage.

Technical Competencies :

* Extremely good analytical skills for technical data analysis, presentation and reports
* Ability to effectively analyse and present the data in order to convince clients
* Ability to explain to potential and existing clients the applications of the products, points of parity with competing products, and points of differentiation with competing products

* Willingness to travel locally and internationally for business development. Amount of travel: 15 %
