Job Description

Sharing best practices within the team
• Educate the team to handle some customer service escalations
• With managers direction, celebrate high performance with the team
• Provide coaching, mentoring to the team with managers direction
• Report to management when internal issues arise or when processes or tools are needed to support the India team
• Pro-actively report or suggest new training ideas/refreshers to the training department
• Bug reporting when discovered
• Focus on monthly revenue targets to be achieved and provided by managers
• Encourage revenue maximization [conversion opportunities]
• Advise IT on any technical issues
• Handle some pre-sale customer service escalations
• Responsible to provide the agents with the weekly gift cards when applicable
• Bring forward any agents concerns to the management teams
• Attend bi-weekly meeting with management [Samira/Janet]
• Understand all products, services, procedures and guidelines and communicate same to all team members
• Provide daily direction and communication to staff for our calls to be answered in a timely, efficient and knowledgeable manner [KPI’s]
• One-on-One coaching focus with low performers
• Nesting new hires
• QA results shared and coached on

Skills required:
• Minimum 1 to 3 years’ experience as Team lead in a sales travel environment
• Looking for 5- 8 yrs of Travel sales experience.
• Encourage effective sales practices in a fast paced environment
• Ability to coach, mentor and lead a sales team
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced call centre environment
• Strong knowledge of GDS a must
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet applications
• Takes initiative with problem solving and decision making
• A deadline oriented approach
• Knowing how to use effective motivational techniques to improve the performance of the teams
• Ability to set goals for others to achieve and therefore, must be an achiever too
• Problem solving skills
