1. General Requirement:
This position is for Technology Infrastructure function and the key responsibility would be Solution architecting and back-office pre-sales technical support management. Candidates must possess good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; must have good techno commercial skills; good listening, analytical, and problem-solving skills; willingness to share techniques and skills with peers;
2. Skill Requirement:
Candidate must be good practitioner in three or more skill areas as given below comprising of Systems, Storage, Networking, Security, and Management.
Designing Enterprise-class infrastructure solutions on multiple platforms including IBM AIX / Sun Solaris / HP-UX / MSWindows / Linux platforms.
Compute Infrastructure design for Systems and Storage Infrastructure. Exposure to virtualistion at hardware / software levels, Cloud Computing etc would be an added advantage.
Storage Infrastructure design with SAN/NAS/iSCSI technologies and products such as HP IBM, EMC, Netapp. Backup Solutions for heterogeneous server platforms such as Windows and UNIX
Network Infrastructure design with LAN/WAN technologies including VLAN, VPN and MPLS, and Network security design with IDS/IPS and Firewalls
Enterprise Management System design with products such as HP IT Management Software Suite (including Operations Manger, Network Node Manager and Service Manager)
Knowledge in solution design involving with Oracle and MS SQL databases would be an added advantage.
3. Job Responsibilities:
Requirement analysis, solution recommendation and documentation as part of response building process to RFPs/Business opportunities.
Ensuring key business requirements are factored into solution architecting, techno-commercial proposal making and implementation planning to Senior Management
Evaluate among various options to design cost effective infrastructure solution complying with requirement specification.
Proficient collection of market research information in Technology Infrastructure domain.
Coordination with vendors/service providers in seeking technical and commercial proposals, negotiation of costs, pre/post purchase relationship management
Extensive technical understanding, strong consulting, stakeholder management and leadership skills required.
Hands-on experience in building techno-commercial proposals for internal IT initiatives and business opportunities.
Ability to operate across multiple projects simultaneously and assume responsibility for managing project life cycle from design, build and smooth transitioning to operations
Experience in the responsibilities mentioned above. The candidate should have good communication and presentation skills. Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office Tools especially MS Word, MS Excel and MS Visio
