Intake (30%)
All requests for support from Dell's sales community are made using Dell's CRM tool which generates an email to a group inbox. Intake manages these requests, ensuring the correct type of request has been made, all relevant information has been provided and broadly the request falls within the GPC remit. This process form may form Sales' first contact with GBP team and is crucial for ensuring a bid is initiated correctly. It is a demanding role, requiring the ability to manage multiple requests in a timely manner, managing Sales' expectations and liasoning closely with the bid and proposal managers. As needed, escalation support is provided by senior team members.
Proposal Management (65%)
The Proposal Advisor is responsible for managing medium complexity RFIs and RFPs. This position will work closely with- and support- the Dell Sales team and other stakeholders in presenting Dell's total capability to our clients in the form of formal proposals and response documents. As RFPs from DELL INDIA DCS customers' have regional, local requirements, the Proposal Manager Advisor will be required to work cross functionally with SME's across multiple functions to deliver effective Proposals besides ensuring governance is adhered to. A sound RFP risk assessment along with recommendations around risk mitigation is also required. The role requires the ability to modify tool-generated boiler plate and author an entire document; there is limited bespoke technical writing required.
Additionally, production of a document template may be required to support Sales where full proposal support is not provided.

Principle proposal management responsibilities include:
Qualification

Ownership of opportunity planning:
Produce response tasks and assign responsibilities
Produce document template according to Dell standards (including boiler plate)
Planning, scheduling and monitoring of essential work
Collation and authoring of proposal content and owning quality of final document
Ensuring appropriate sign off prior to release of document externally

Internal GPC proposal support (5%)

A limited amount of internal team support is also included in the Proposal Advisor role. This includes assisting with quarter end utilization and win-loss reporting, documenting team processes and checking support request statuses
