Job Description

Taxation

Responsible for managing all country transaction tax (“TT”) issues, which includes ensuring that compliance activities related to Phantom Films TT are handled correctly and effective tax audit management. Transaction Tax includes VAT, Sales Tax and Service Tax, as well as Goods & Services Tax (GST) that will be implemented in India.
Actively develop and implement tax savings opportunities for company in India.
Provide guidance and training to country Finance personnel and Business Units to ensure compliance with TT requirements in the country.
Provide TT support in cross-functional and/or cross-geographical tax or business task forces, projects and programs.
Formulate and implement consistent and effective TT policies and processes for India.
Represent the company's interests in country TT tax lobbying forums.
Develop tax audit methodologies and identify process changes and improvements to ensure TT compliance in India
Keep abreast of TT changes in India and inform management of the implications to Company.
Accounting Financial Planning and Implementation

Functional areas would include Accounts, finance, Taxation, Legal, Audit, Company Secretary,Treasury Management
Month End Financials like Balance Sheets, Profit & loss A/c As per Indian GAAP
Direct & Indirect Taxation
Statutory Compliances.

Work with Legal team and ensure legal compliance related to financial matters
Interact with statutory and internal auditors.
Ensures the timely preparations and audits year end statements as IAS per extant laws & regulations.
Develops suggestions for tax planning to maximise returns.
Ensures compliance to all financial and non-financial statutory regulations.
People Management

To train, guide and coach all reportee’s in Taxation.
Provide direction to team towards achieving desired results
Identify training needs of team and coordinate with HR for trainings.
Ensure work discipline and impart company culture, vision and values in all reportee’s.
Responsible to develop a cost conscious, ethical, goal/result oriented team
Reporting’s

Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly reviews
Other MIS reports as required
Knowledge of SAP – Finance Module Preferable Must have thorough knowledge of Accounts Finalization, Direct & Indirect Taxation Knowledge of Financial Accounting as per Indian GAAP Knowledgeable of best practices in Finance
