In addition to core competencies such as strong SAP knowledge, the consultant must exhibit strong knowledge of APJ OR EU and wider EMEA country Transaction tax environment and key mechanisms.
Ability to investigate and apply APJ OR EU and EMEA Tax regulations, analyzing business requirements and determining Tax implications to take account of.
Manage within a complex system environment to address setup limitations and propose appropriate compliant solutions.
Additionally consultant needs good understanding of VAT to enable support of global projects impacting EU and wider EMEA requirements (leveraging from EMEA colleagues), and apply as APJ region increasingly moves to VAT regime.
As for EMEA key examples of Tax knowledge, consultant to understand different regulations, VAT group setup and benefits, Customer exemptions and understanding of different treatment for product and services across the different countries.
Consultant needs to be at the level to work autonomously, driving project charters, scope assessment, requirement definition and solutions, but at the same time partners with HP team to address necessary questions efficiently and concisely, and to share outcomes.
