Job Description

Dear Candidate,

The Company is incorporated in Malaysia; it is involved in the manufacture of lubricants from the formulation to the marketing and distribution of a wide range of automotive and heavy duty engine oils, industrial and marine lubricants.

The role is to Head the Sales for Tamilnadu and Kerala for their Retail vertical based in Chennai, responsible for sales and distribution to retail (B2C) channels.

Designation : Regional Sales Manager- South (Tamil Nadu and Kerala)

Location : Chennai

Reporting to : Business Head

Experience range : 12 - 18 years in channel sales (Retail) B2C

Academic requirement: B.E / B. Tech (Auto/Mechanical/Chemical) with MBA (full time)

Market exposure : Entire Tamil Nadu and Kerala

Channel experience : Retail

Preferred Industry : FMCG, Paints, Lubricants, Automobile spares, Agro, etc.,

Desired Age : Max 40 years

Experience:

- Experience of 12-18 years in channel sales, experience of managing distributors is essential with experience in Lubricant (Automobiles) industry exposure in Retail sales will be proffered

Role:

RDS management:

- New Distributor (DS) appointment, ROI of Distributor, Channel Conflict Resolution

- Activities pertaining to basic infrastructure of the DS would be prerogative of the state ASM

- Account reconciliation of the RDS with MDs and Accounts /PLIPL on monthly basis

- Ensuring the adequacy of the stock at the DS point based on the secondary sales figures SKU wise for the past 2 months record.

- Ensure that the forecasting is done by the DS and the same is being lifted and sold by him in his market.

Market Coverage:

- Visits all key locations along with the DS to resolve issues, or to build a positive rapport with the dealers

- Track the sales performance of all key dealers (A class, B Class) weekly. Ensure maximum retail counter coverage w.r.t Depth of Distribution and Width of Distribution. Tertiary tracking

Marketing Activities:

- Regular evaluation of distribution structure and if required, correction in the distribution structure

- Driving Company's objectives for Volume, Value, ASP and Distribution Expansion/Correction

- Driving Company's schemes from target setting stage to execution to the trade
