This role manages the Sales in South India based at Chennai with responsibility of setting up and developing sales marketing to support all types of Journal Segment (Social Science and Science and Technology Journals) of a leading Publishing Company in Tamil Naidu and Kerala. Also plan and execute budget/ sales target.
Role & Responsibilities:
Promote entire suite of 50 years old International Publishing Companys Print and Online Journals relating to Social Sciences and Science and Technology) with relevant academic institutions, government bodies, libraries and related institutions/ professionals.
The selected candidate will be expected to establish and nurture business relationship with the partners to grow sales of Companys Social Science and S&T Journals in Tamil Naidu and Kerala.
The selected candidate will participate in conferences, seminars, annual conventions etc. to promote Companys publishing products in most cost effective manner.
Work closely with Global teams to unify and streamline sales in Tamil Naidu and Kerala.
Manage and coordinate sales activities, campaign planning, execution, reporting and administration to support Global Social Science and Science and Technology Journals.
Identify and develop marketing and sales services in the Region.
Continuous analysis and monitor performance/ effectiveness of sales strategies in the Region.
Contribute to the ongoing development and adoption of innovative sales strategies and tools.
Actively share knowledge and keep abreast with latest industry trends.
Desired EQ/ Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
Graduate/ Post Graduate in Sciences / Technology /Post Graduate/ MBA in Marketing is preferred with 5+ Years experience in Publishing Industry.
Ability to manage sales and marketing of Social Science and Science and Technology journals in Tamil Naidu and Kerala.
The ideal candidate should preferably know at least Tamil and Malayalam language.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Smart, energetic, motivated with good contacts in relevant academic institutions, government bodies, universities, education boards, libraries and related institutions/ professionals.
Strong understanding of marketing & sales function of publishing industry.
Excellent email/ written communication ethics is a MUST.
Very strong interpersonal relationship and ability to manage and grow the team.
