Project Manager is responsible for Managing the projects assigned technically and financially within plan. Duties include liaising with various global stakeholders, build and drive the projects to successful completion.
This includes extensive coordination with front office project manager, District engineering manager, Operations Manager, Remote engineering Manager, Engineering team, various vendors for material supply or engineering labour. The activities would include project tracking and control using M.S project/ Primavera and tracking the same on a weekly basis and documenting delays/ change to baseline with clear reasons/ causes for delay.
To ensure the delivery of projects by ensuring that best practice in project management are consistently implemented. Reviewing the delivery of engineering on a regular basis. Documenting all change requests to build change orders. Comply fully to the major projects implementation process with zero deviation.
Supervising all SAP activities required on the project including purchase requisitions based on BOM issued by engineering, tracking ordering and good receipt upon receipt of material. Supervising raising of service requisitions for contract labour and service receipt in SAP upon receipt of invoice. Cost monitoring on a regular basis and tracking any deviations against the estimated cost. Identifying and tracking emerging risks during execution and preparing a mitigation plan. Coordinating and arranging manpower from suppliers based on skills required.
The Project Manager must be a good team player and posses excellent communication skills needed to interact both internally and externally. The ability to lead and timely/ effective resolution of coordination issues. Project Manager is required to manage the assigned support staff (contract) via robust development planning, training, coaching and performance management.
Responsible for the measurement metrics for the project and delivery on plan. For example Quality, responsiveness, delivery and submitting the project plans on time, change requests and documentation of change to baseline Etc.
