The incumbent in this role would support and lead a team responsible for executing payroll activities including processing weekly, monthly and off cycle pays. The person should have an in depth understanding of payroll processes & should have managed source to gross and gross to net end activities for Australia based client. The incumbent should be comfortable to work in ANZ shift.
Education & Experience
10 plus years, 6 / 7 years of relevant work experience in handling end to end payroll service delivery for global clients
Should have worked on complex payroll scenarios triggered by multiple pay frequencies
Prior experience of managing payroll transition assignments and stabilizing services in off shore location
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Requires a Graduation degree, preferably in commerce, certified payroll designation would be preferred
Should have independently handled pay roll team with very good client management skill
Must possess good thought leadership and very good clarity of purpose.
Involved and contributed in value add / innovation in pay roll space though ideas/automation etc.
Minimum of 2 years of AUS/NZ Payroll experience is Mandatory.
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead end to end payroll service delivery, ensure payroll is processed accurately & in compliance to the agreed timelines. Ensure seamless coordination with on shore team & client on the required deliverables.
Responsible for SLA adherence, should design and implement changes to processes / methods to improve efficiency
Monitor accurate processing of staff appointments, transfers, promotions, terminations and benefit administration & reconciliations. Oversee maintenance of employee data systems
Supervise and co-ordinate activities of payroll staff, manage workload to met operational requirements.
Review and improve control activities to better quality of payroll output.
Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production
Oversee compliance with statutory reporting, preparation of payroll related documents - weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
Ensure all employee queries are resolved satisfactorily as per the agreed timelines
Able to synthesize information from different sources to arrive at sound inferences
Flexibility to work across multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities
Develop strong and effective relationships with client & onshore team.
People leadership, set and review team objectives, takes accountability of developing payroll staff members
