Should be an L3 resource with more than 5 yrs of relevant experience on network & security
Ability to work in a highly dynamic and complex Network environments
Experience with ITIL based processes
Proven experience with data networks including physical layer infrastructure, servers, LAN/WAN hardware, software, data transmission facilities and interconnecting devices.
Good knowledge of basic networking, security and troubleshooting tools like nslookup, traceroute, ping, and packet capture tools etc.
Proven knowledge and practical application of SNMP, Security, Firewalls, Routing, and Switching.
In-depth knowledge, not limited to understanding but troubleshooting, of TCP/IP Protocol suite, IP routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIP, EIGRP), Frame-Relay, IPSEC VPN, and xDSL Technologies, OSI Model and Layered Troubleshooting,
In-depth knowledge on working with Firewalls (ASA/Fortigate/Checkpoint / Cisco FWSM / Cisco PIX).
Good knowledge on new Network / Security design and implementation of the same with supporting the design post implementation.
Good knowledge of Virtual Private Networks VPNs wrt. Design, Implementation Scenarios, Connectivity troubleshooting and L2 protocols.
Good working knowledge of Application layer protocols and functions such as FTP, DNS, SNMP, HTTP/HTTPS, Device authentication mechanisms, User Authentication Mechanisms, SMTP etc.
