Job Description

"Key Results/ Accountabilities expected from role
Ensure timely delivery of lab services for all internal GLT customers including and
not limited to blend studies, analyses, raw material and finished goods
procurement, pilot plant batches, outside lab testing, method development.
Develop and maintain network of third party labs in and around Mumbai to ensure
BCP compliance for Lab / pilot plant (new pilot plant) etc.
Ensure validation of results from outsourced lab for lab check.
Ensure timely maintenance and Up-keeping of lab instruments (AMCs, on call
maintenance).
Ensure up gradation of lab requirements for base oil testing instruments.
Maintain and manage optimum inventory of all raw material and chemicals at site.
Reduce generation of used and hazardous waste at site and ensure timely
disposal.
HSSE responsibility of the lab and the related site area.
Support TMO group to track spurious products. Laboratory operations:
Should have a strong understanding of laboratory quality system requirements and have
led improvement initiatives.
Should participated in quality audits internal/external
Provided input/quality ideas/information to quality teams and sought continuous improvement opportunities
Taken responsibility for validity of result produced within own area.
Need deep understanding of the local legislation how it affects the analytical teams in their location.
Should lead safety culture within your own area of responsibility and set an exemplary example to other employees
Carried out risk assessments on laboratory tasks and ensured staff members read and understood them.
Reviewed of all safety documents within laboratory and ensured they are relevant and/or correct
Linked with other teams on site/globally to share good safety practise and lessons learned
Proactively take responsibility for the safety of other team members.
General lab skills:
Should have implemented standard laboratory techniques within and outside your area
of responsibility.
Carried out complex literature searches and reported the results with a wider audience
Can skilfully communicated technical information to customers to resolve a variety of
complex issues
Developed protocols to provide fit for purpose technical reports."
