Lead Save the Childrens humanitarian response in India
Act as budget holder in humanitarian responses and provide oversight and leadership to the response
Lead preparedness and contingency planning activities, ensuring that staff are equipped with the skills and resources to respond to emergencies, and processes and systems are in place to facilitate timely response.
Highly self-motivated, willing to work long hours and undertake extensive travel within India.
Understanding of and commitment to International Standards of Relief work such as SPHERE Code, the Red Cross code, Core Humanitarian Standards and DRR - CCA Frameworks Sendai Framework, UNISDR platforms et al.
Previous experience working with international donors and Donor institutions such as ECHO, USAID, SIDA, in particular
Proven ability to manage good relations with people, resources and finances.
The ability to support, supervise, motivate and coordinate a large team including skills and experience in effective team management, coaching and
development of staff.
Good interpersonal skills: the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels, taking into account cultural and language difficulties.
Analytical and conceptual skills to think and plan strategically as well as proposal building and reporting with high profile donor institutions
Skills and experience in project programming, monitoring, review and evaluation.
The ability to produce analytical and well presented project proposals and reports in English
