Primary purpose of the role
The primary responsibility of this role is to manageIndia Data centre and projects deliverables from server preparedness and technical evaluations.
This role is also needed to manage the SAP Landscape from the perspective HP UX operating system maintenance and Data base backup activities for SAP.
This role required to perform following additional activities like – Patch Management on servers, Data restoration on demand, troubleshooting of OS level problems, UPS & AC maintenance for data centre. Up keep of Data centre and taking scheduled online and offline backups and moving the tapes to offsite location as per defined policies.
Performing regular proactive monitoring on the server, capacity planning and budgeting, allocation of resources within the data centre are the key integral functions of this role.
Maintenance of Asset register for Data centre hardware and software.

Server OS Installation for Windows, HP UNIX, Linux.
Patch Management for HP UX and windows servers which are involved on SAP Landscape.
Managing and Maintaining the CCU & UPS Units @ Data Center.
Project Management Deliverables from Servers’ Perspectives.
Hardware sizing and capacity planning and resource utilization.
Renewal of yearly contracts, Hardware Support /SLA Management
Backup & Restoration Management on SAP Landscape.
Supporting other team members across UAE, India, and Bangladesh.
Assets register for data centre & monitoring the systems logs and events.
Responsibilities and main tasks
· Backup & Restoration Management on SAP Landscape
· Server OS Installation for Windows, HP UNIX, Linux.
· Patch Management for HP UX and windows servers which are involved on SAP Landscape.
· Managing and maintaining the Servers, storage, CCU & UPS Units, @ Data Centre.
· Assets register for data centre & monitoring the systems logs and events.

· Servers Uptime
· Data centre Uptime
· Preventive maintenance
· Problem resolution as per internal SLA
· On-time delivery on project prerequisites from server side.
