Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director -Distribution Risk and Controls operates independently and provides leadership and support to the Distribution Directors to design and implement an appropriate risk and control framework.
This is supported by the team who provide oversight, assessment and reporting on the ongoing performance of the framework to deliver a function wide understanding of the risk environment and recommendations for improvement or action.
The Risk and Control team will also provide the quality assurance function to the Financial Promotions sign off process and manage the application of the advice quality framework for Financial Planning and the business quality framework.
The suitable applicant will demonstrate;
• Strong compliance and risk background
• Strong stakeholder management skills, in particular 2nd and 3rd line stakeholders, providing advice and challenge
• In-depth understanding of financial services distribution
• Commercial appreciation; with particular focus on tackling complex challenges, negotiating and collaborating across organizational boundaries
