Job Description

- To create awareness about DiMPA as a safe and effective method of contraception.

- To increase access to and use of DiMPA through the private health sector by establishing a network.

- To promote correct use and compliance through sustained high quality of service, including the setting up of a helpline.

While the first phase was engaging with the private sector to create awareness and demand, the second phase which has just started (January 2017 to February 2020), is focusing on engaging with the public sector and improving demand generation.

- The incumbent will be responsible for the research and m- health component of the program.

- The candidate will also support specific management functions of the overall program.

- Supervise all aspects of communication and content generation related to the virtual networks with Dimpa physicians.

- Supervise all aspects of research related to the monitoring of Quality of Family planning services.

- Lead, mentor, manage a high calibre team comprising of the Deputy Directors for Communications, MLE and mHealth.

- Manage the various stakeholder involved in the project.

- Lead the project in the absence of the COP as required.

- Represent the organization in relevant forums.

- Minimum 20 years of relevant professional experience in development sector/or the private sector.

- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand new technical/content areas.

- Proven past experience of managing programs including planning, monitoring, quality assurance and research.

- Have a clear understanding of inclusion issues and an awareness of how to cater to careline services for women.

- Demonstrated experience of managing high calibre teams.
