The Associate Director IAM Architecture Lead manages the IAM Architecture team in the design and development of IAM technologies for the program globally. They continue to keep up to date of industry trends and work to adapt the program to meet changing regulatory and business needs. The role includes the ownership of the internal IAM Program Architecture as well as consultancy and guidance for our external facing projects. They are also responsible for the management of a team of architectures focused on all facets of IAM including Identity, Governance, Access Management and Privileged Access.

Cognizant Corporate Security, a key organization within Cognizant Technologies, is chartered with managing and directing the global enterprise physical and logical security programs.
The Corporate Security organization is responsible for the oversight and coordination of security efforts across the company, including information technology, human resources, communications, legal, facilities management and other groups, and is responsible for identifying security initiatives and standards.
Corporate Security drives security compliance and serves as the key organization responsible with helping the business appropriately manage security risks.
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) team is responsible for the overall Governance of the IAM Program at Cognizant.
7+ years of general IT experience;
5+ years of IT Security experience;
4-6 years of Identity and Access Management Experience with at least 3 years in an architecture design role;
Preferred experience in IBM IAM product stack including ISAM/ISIM/ISIG/PIM. Must have experience in one of the other market leaders (SailPoint, Aveksa, Dell or CA) in lieu;
Experience in designing IAM integrations with Cloud providers;
Expertise in applying the systems development and project management life-cycle processes involved with implementing I.T. solutions;
Proven track record of delivering objectives on time and within budget.
Proven problem solving and organizational skills;
Experience implementing solutions based on IAM standards such as OpenID, OAuth, SAML, WS-Federation & FIDO;
Knowledge of ISO 27001/27002 especially as it relates to Access Controls;
Demonstrated ability in team motivation and delegation;
Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to senior leaders, stakeholders and to all levels within the organization;
Self-motivated, enthusiastic, detail oriented, multi-tasking, and adaptable
Ability to provide 25% coverage in US time zones;
Undergraduate degree required in business, math, computer science, engineering, or related discipline with an information technology focus (preferred);
Info Security related certifications a plus.
Other Requirements (Certification, etc.)
A security industry certification is required including but not limited to CISSP, SSCP, CISM, SANS GSEC, ECSA, ECSP, and Security+.
Detailed Role & Responsibilities Lead and develop the IAM Architecture team in the design of organizational wide identity and access management initiatives;
Ensure complete technical and business requirements are gathered and use cases developed base upon those;
Evaluate new and evolving technologies to ensure the IAM Program continues to meet our customer and regulatory requirements;
Ensure Prioritization of efforts and manages the schedule of the team;
Provide consultation on the implementation of standards and best practices for client facing projects;
Build baselines to cloud technologies to ensure new projects meet security requirements;
Provide detailed monthly reporting and metrics to ensure a continuous improvement process for the IAM Program;
Participate in troubleshooting efforts with the IAM Support team;
Ensure all documentation is kept up to date and reviewed on a yearly basis;
Works with Engineering teams to ensure technical designs are implemented as planned;
Leading and creating proof of concept implementations
Knowledge on one or more MFA solutions and their implementation and integration with an IAM environment;
Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team and guide them in devising solutions that align to IAM roadmap.
Responsible for time management of local IAM Architecture staff;
Develop the career plan and goals of the team.
