The business operations team at The company connects the organization with the seller universe across its entire life cycle. The business operations team are primary stakeholders in areas like seller onboarding, seller support, business planning, seller growth, quality and fulfillment.
Fulfillment as an area covers multiple areas viz. launching new categories, expanding market presence, optimizing fulfillment costs, solving ongoing operational issues, tracking of key metrics etc. Many of the above are critical to The company succeeding as a business. And most importantly, enabling all the above areas through technology is a key expectation from the fulfillment team in Business Operations.
Identify, develop and lead strategic initiatives in the fulfillment area from the business operations perspective with the supply chain planning & operations platform.
o Explore and implement new delivery models
o Lead the organization charge to launch newer categories with requirements for modified/new fulfillment models
o Continuous increase of reach of pick-up and delivery
Track and improve key metrics pertaining to business operations covering speed and accuracy and taking quick decisions to align end objective of seller and customer delight.
Identify lead/lag indicators and drive initiatives to get things back on track.
Drive strong system capabilities partnering closely with Technology/Engineering team to deliver the various initiatives
Be a core team member in the engagement between the supply chain planning & ops team and the various categories
Use effective information, project/process management tools and practices to deal with new or abstract situations and deliver outcomes.
Accountable for communication of progress, accomplishments and challenges across marketplace. Facilitate employees all hands on regular basis.
Promote the need for standardization and compliance and take the lead in adhering to agreed parameters
Drive strong system capabilities partnering closely with Technology/Engineering team for third party logistics
Collaborate with The company supply chain team to drive process capabilities
Desired skills & experience:
MBA from tier 1 institute with 6+ years of operational experience preferably in the B2C sector
Degree or professional qualification in engineering or quantitative discipline
Managing complex projects from initiation through to implementation
Developing innovative solutions to complex business challenges
Developing and implementing measurement systems, processes and procedures for complex situations
B2C operational environment would be a plus
Good judgments and reasoning ability
Strong analytical skills with extremely high number orientation
Creative thinker with the ability to recognize improvement opportunities
Very high customer orientation
Excellent communication skills
Driving cross-functional stakeholders for operational improvement initiatives
