Job Description

Job Purpose As assistant manager - planning and project , the incumbent will be responsible for planning and designing of Access Network comprising of MEN / FTTx (GPON / GEPON / PON) equipment s and also driving partner teams for the execution of Outside Plant (OSP) , Inside Plant (ISP) and In Building (IBD) Network covering end to end requirements and ensuring all the business services are offered Job Specification Validate the data collected through field survey in the given area , capture all field information w.r.t to planning requirements (Building data , Home pass data , Pole data , strata information , etc) Plan and Design of MEN / FTTx network for ISP / OSP / IBD (UG , Aerial) within budget. Preparation of BOM / BOQ for the cluster / building of interest Know - how of GIS Operations - Autocad , Small World , ARC GIS , Bentley Comms Validation of HLD and SLD Guiding and mentoring partner teams in execution of MEN / FTTx network Responsible for materials availability with the partner teams Responsible for forecasting materials requirement for the cluster / Area Daily progress reporting , preparation of consumption reports and measurement sheets Material reconciliation with partner teams from time to time Performance monitoring and audit of partner teams Acceptance testing in accordance to quality parameters MIS reporting - planned v / s actual built. Policy & Process Compliance Ensure that the organisation s processes and policies are adhered to. Provide regular input to keeping our processes in alignment with our service philosophy - Easy & Simple. Provide input to business , field services and operations , training and quality teams as applicable Strict adherence to SOP and quality of work People Management and Development Provide input in Selecting , Developing and Retaining of quality manpower (including direct and indirect manpower and vendors) Provide timely and necessary input to people on performance Ensure that the service philosophy is understood and communicated to all levels and individuals Maintain transparency in dealing with people , vendors and performance management Productivity and Cost Effectiveness Improve productivity continuously (without compromising quality) Educational Background B.E. / B.Tech. or any Graduate Work Experience Prior work experience of 5 - 6 years Specialist knowledge in: Technology - GPON / GEPON / PON / MEN GIS - ARC GIS , Autocad , Small World , Bentley Comms Knowledge of Telecom , Broadband industry will be preferred Critical Attributes Forecasting and capacity planning Decision making ability Drive quality improvement initiatives
