The objectives of Infrastructure Services Senior SME is to:
Translate business requirements into value adding, deliverable and cost efficient IT Infrastructure solutions
Bridge business and process know-how with knowledge on how to use IT Infrastructure as an enabler for increased value and efficiency
Promote synergies and best practices throughout the customer base
Manage the service, technology and architecture roadmaps
The Infrastructure Architect takes the business requirements and constraints, defined by the enterprise architecture, collaborates with the Infrastructure L2 and L3 engineers, service managers, infrastructure technical specialists and designs infrastructure setup for services/solutions.
The Infrastructure Architect identifies influencing factors for the infrastructure solution (e.g. security, integration, network availability requirements) and creates architecture blueprints including reasons for architectural decisions and considerations.
He/She is responsible to drive infrastructure questions spanning across several platforms and ensures that the IT infrastructure solution fulfills the agreed functionality and quality requirements given by the customer.
He/she handles the communication of the infrastructure solution including constraints and tradeoffs to concerned stakeholders and takes responsibility to suggest alternative solutions and to point out deficiencies related to quality requirements in projects to project managers.
To be successful in this role, we believe that you are an IT architect with a very good understanding of the infrastructure as a whole (processes, production challenges, technology) as well as of the needs of the applications toward the infrastructure services.
You are used to design architectures based on functional and non-functional requirements in IT infrastructure Management.
You have a broad and high-level understanding of several technical areas and you are at ease going deeper with technical experts.
You provide guidance through formalized plans, roadmaps and blueprints.
Required Competencies / Skills
The selected candidate needs to have a strong background in managing complex IT infrastructure setup.
The person needs to understand the challenges of hosting complex systems on distributed/multi-tier architecture.
From an expertise that he/she has developed at the beginning of your career, you have now a good overall knowledge of Microsoft/Linux/Oracle/Cloud and Open source technologies, and can guide and monitor solution design and build up.
You have a strong capacity to conceptualize, to synthetize requirements and document architecture blueprints.
You have leadership skills putting you at ease in leading meetings and setting directions for technicians.
You are good in building consensus and take decisions when driving technical and architectural issues.
You have an ITIL foundation certification and strong Service Management experience.
Assess the customer environments and prepare the roadmap on the migration to AWS Offerings Migrate; Implement the environments in AWS and Transition to the support team Pricing, Effort Estimates based on proposal development.
Experience in Solution on AWS Services.
Knowledge AWS Pricing approach.
Good Knowledge on AWS Security standards, Network and Access Methods
Knowledge on Transformation methodologies to AWS Services, and Cloud Managed Tools on Monitoring, Backup, Management.
Experience on P2V, V2V, V2C
Knowledge on Configuration Management tools (Chef, Puppet) and other Cloud Services (RackSpace, Azure)
Experience in creating solutions / architecting / migration on to AWS Services
