Job Description

Responsibilities:

A. To develop a strong network of well wishers and positive champions for Huawei in Ministry of Communications & IT, Department of Telecommunications, Telecom Engineering Centre Department of Electronics & Information Technology, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India
B. Develop strong relationship between Huawei India Management and DoT/MOC & IT
C. Work closely with Telecom industry related association like COAI, AUSPI, TEMA, CMAI and others to propagate Huawei official views on relevant topics. To ensure that no negative views or views harming Huawei business interests gets incorporated in any draft policy document of the associations
D. To articulate and spread Huawei thoughts and views regarding Cyber Security in the area of Information Communication and Technology including Telecom and IT Networks
E. To develop a strong working relationship with CERT IN, NCIPC, DSCI and other government agencies dealing with Cyber Security and establish Huawei as a responsible corporate citizen in the area of Cyber Security
F. Proactively engage and tackle any red flags in the area of cyber security
G. Work closely with the Cyber Security team under Huawei India CEO's office on all cyber security issues and pre alert them on issues arising on cyber security
H. Keep all Business Groups updated on any issues pertaining to cyber security relevant to their business

3. Requirements for candidate:

1) ExperienceTotal experience of at least 12 - 15 years in areas of Telecom and ICT of which at least 5 - 8 years of handling government affairs and working with DoT

2) Key ability required:

A. Tactical Thinking - Deep understanding of the Indian telecom sector including perspectives of Operators, Customers, OEMs, Regulator, Civil Society, Think Tanks, NGOs and the Government.
B. Communication ability - Outstanding communication ability (oral and written) and social skills, contact with high-level government officials, think tanks, industry associations and senior officials of other enterprises, good internal communication and comprehension skills. Should be able to coordinate Huawei India management team members interactions with government officials.
C. Thinking leadership - Detailed comprehensive understanding about telecom policy, ICT policy, key government initiatives and programs, cyber security issues
D. Capability of resources integration - Should be able to integrate internal resources from Huawei to deliver the expected results

3) Industry background: Better from Fortune top 500 multinational companies from the Telecom Operators and Telecom equipment industry.

4) Education background:

Post Graduate in Management or Graduation in Engineering

5) Language: English, Hindi

6) Nationality: Indian
