Individual in this position is responsible for implementing Siebel environments, software installations, server administration Siebel upgrades, performance tuning, integrating Siebel with external applications and Siebel Enterprise troubleshooting. This individual will work closely with other technical team leads and manager to design, develop, document and implement Siebel solutions in order to accomplish the business goal.
Principal responsibilities include:
Setup Siebel environments. Install Siebel gateway, Siebel application, Siebel web server extensions, Siebel Tools and Developer clients.
Configure and optimize all Siebel Server and Enterprise components and parameters for performance.
Resolve issues that arise in the production and lower environments in a timely manner; ensure the efficient and proper functioning of Siebel application components
Plan and implement Siebel upgrades (Siebel Open UI) and point releases for all the existing Siebel applications.
Develop solutions to integrate Siebel with external applications using Siebel EAI web services as per the requirement.
Support all Siebel environments which include maintaining high application availability, performance tuning, supporting all planned and unplanned outages.
Migrate changes between environments and manage production srf releases.
Configuring & managing workflow management component group, create workflow monitor agents as per requirement.
Monitor all Siebel server environments on a daily basis, identify potential issues, effectively communicate and resolve issues in timely manner.
Understand changing business needs and recommend strategies for future.
Configure Siebel using Tools. Create and debug complex Siebel workflows, Workflow Policies, Runtime events, Business Services and scripting.
Extensively used Siebel Tools, Object manager, EAI, Scripting, Workflow, Assignment manager
Constantly monitors the process of Servers and UI configuration/ development /testing to assure a quality deliverable with minimal defects
Create documentation (High level, Low level design documents) and maintain documentation per C3i standards
Develop and configure the Siebel technical modules including integrations
Perform fit-gap analysis and develop migration and transition plans for new implementations and system conversions
Perform application and system administration tasks to include monitoring and debugging component tasks and release deployment support
Analyzes and develops complex Siebel Customizations, Workflows, performs sophisticated systems analysis in the enterprise environment
Provides proactive monitoring and issue detection to ensure system quality and stability
Administers all project work related to the Siebel Application Environment, including but not limited to ad-hoc queries, administration, data loads and the coordination of configuration releases
Tracks application enhancements including, but not limited to, bug fixes, change requests, and regression testing for Application Maintenance with client managers
Knowledge of Siebel EAI /Integration Objects/ adapters set-up
Support including, but not limited to, Siebel configuration and bug fixes, preparation of standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation for Siebel configuration. Handle enhancements to the existing Siebel applications
Siebel support, Create, update information/notes, resolve and close tickets pertaining to Siebel configuration issues in the application. Communicate and work closely with Siebel users in resolving Siebel configuration/application issues
Works closely to design, develop and implement new functionality and/or modifications to existing deployment
Fixing of data issues in the application, pertaining to single user or multiple users [if any]
Establishes realistic project timelines and completes all assigned programming requests within projected time frames.
Ensures renewed integrity /quality of existing and/or newly developed application software. Includes programs, queries, applets, business components /services and all other application related objects.
Requires the ability to come up with creative technical solutions while applying Siebel best practices and working within coding standards
Siebel implementation experience includes end-to-end Siebel Project implementations having global deployment and rollout and able to leverage systematic methodologies and processes during all phases of the software development life-cycle
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Highly experienced with Siebel Server installations, Siebel upgrades and IIS
Working knowledge of Siebel EAI, Integration Objects, Workflows, Tools Configuration and Business Service.
Good working knowledge of Siebel Call Center data model
Project plan implementation and organization skills
Strong conceptual understanding of CRM related technologies

Siebel 8 Certification is an added advantage
8-12 years in setting up Siebel Environments, Siebel Server\Client\Tools installations, applying Siebel patches, Siebel EAI and Siebel Configuration.
1-2 years of experience with Siebel Open UI
Experience with Siebel 8 upgrade
Working knowledge of SQL Server and/or Oracle database environments.
Experience with Siebel Call Center or equivalent
Experience with Pharma environment is plus
At least 3 - 4 Siebel full implementation experience
Other CRM applications like Pega / Salesforce will be added advantage
