Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
Liaise with communications planners collaborating in the development of implementation plans.
Responsible for ensuring Investment teams develop implementation plans based on the investment brief and discussions with communications planners.
Working with other House of Media specialists e.g. Board-mind/ATG to provide evaluation of TV/print/ digital programming properties.
Understand cost effectiveness in every buying exercise and implement concept plans.
Build and maintain the relationship with Media Owners/Media Suppliers.
People supervision - monitor day to day aspects of junior employees' work to ensure high quality output.
Liaise with media auditors and provide and check information to ensure MS's case is well represented.
Administration of all buying under your control, production and presentation of buying reviews and market analyses.
Any other duties as reasonably requested by your General Manager or other senior manager.
Industry Background & Skills:
Understanding of clients business (customer profile, sales, competitions and products/services).
Good communication and selling skills.
Strong technical skills both in negotiation, buying and understanding (eg. gross ups/simps vs nimps).
Expertise in all relevant software/systems eg. Supermidas, Excel, Powerpoint.
Understanding of relevant research eg. BARB, Nielsen; strengths and weaknesses.
A good rapport with agency, clients, and media owners.
An understanding of how TV/print/digital buying fits into the wider media planning and buying. process and its relation to the advertising and marketing environment.
