As a successful candidate, you will work in a team environment, delivering on the following main aspects:
Work closely with onsite level 1 and level 2 engineers to achieve the customers project requirement
Point of contact with Sandvine global protocol team, working with a team of architects and technical leads to translate the system requirements into a sub-system/module design
Analyze network protocols and applications in use
Maintain Sandvine protocol pack updates on the customers site
Implementing high-quality, high-performance code
Create new protocols signature and create Sandvine Sandscript customized policies
Traffic analysis and identification of unidentified traffic
Maintain the testing framework and make sure scripts are always up-to-date.
Create and execute the unit test plan and interface test plan
Debugging and troubleshooting problems in test and in production
Work with other sub-system developers to design, document and implement the interface modules
Work closely with customer on specific requirements for them to Comply with all the applicable regulatory guidelines and periodic reports as per the directives received from various Government agencies like TRAI, DoT etc.
The successful candidate is responsible for timely reactive support. Communication and execution (specifically impeccable follow through) is the key success factor to this role.
Degree or diploma from a technical institute with a focus on Computer Systems, Systems Administration, or related discipline.
5-8 years experience working in a fast paced development environment either in Data networking or Embedded system domain
Hands-on Unix experience (BSD/Linux/Solaris)
Deep Experience with programming and/or scripting, SQL databases, network traffic monitoring: C/C++with complete SDLC and PoC experience ,Java, Perl , TCL
Debugging and troubleshooting of problems in an embedded systems, and protocol analyzers
Technical background with a strong understanding of networking (specifically IP related technologies) , and protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, SSL)
Comfortable with Linux/Unix cli navigation and bash tools along with software version control tools like ClearCase.
Excellent troubleshooting, investigative and problem solving
Good documentation and communication skills are necessary
Traffic analysis in depth using tools like Wireshark, TCPDump and others
Positive can-do attitude in stressful situations is required
Ability to manage challenges and set priorities in a complex environment
Experience in Quality Assurance testing
Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) experience
Salesforce experience (or another ticketing system)
Ability to work independently with remote supervision and guidance.
Experience with machine learning techniques, security or encryption technologies
Any scripting experience or tools development using XML, python, shell, etc
Network access gateways such as BRAS, GGSN, PDSN, ASN Gateway, CMTS will be an advantage
Networking protocols like RADIUS, Diameter, LDAP, GTP, GRE, MPLS, etc. will be an advantage
