RSM South & West
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for meeting the Sales Targets assigned for South and West. He will be responsible to breakdown his regional objectives into area objectives and drive it through the area sales team
* Implement agreed strategies and sales tactics through the business sales team by drawing up plans, budgets and monitoring systems. Also provide accurate short, medium and long term forecasts as necessary to support business plans and decisions.
* Managing the potential distributor's activities, strategizing and implementing routes of expanding the distribution network.
* Business development through relationship building with regional teams of retail clients, marketing, coordinating with marketing department to formulate various local activities in his region, participating in the market generation and penetration efforts of the company.
* Providing guidance and direction to the sales team and managing employee performance and development. Also Responsible for recruitment and retention of the sales team.
Education and Experience
MBA with 8+ years of experience in the FMCG industry and handling a huge dealer distributor network.
Handled a huge team of more than 30 -- 40 people with direct and indirect reportees.
Qualities in the Country Manager:
- Leadership experience in India sales operations from FMCG products (personal care/hair care/skin care)
- Seasoned sales professional who has a good working knowledge of the North Market
- Well versed in operational and commercial nuances and should be able to multi-task
- Led large teams comprising of young to mature sales professionals with an ability to inculcate aggression in the team
- Excellent analytical, oral and interpersonal skills with a strategic bent of mind
- The ability to thrive in a team atmosphere and work effectively with all levels of management
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, determined, will be well structured and organized, have a flexible and - hands on- approach to work and be able to communicate and represent the company at all levels in a structured, dynamic and professional fashion.
