Job Description

Create new products and processes by using existing technologies and new technologies by closely identifying the trends in the domestic and global market place. This position also has the responsibility of scaling up of the developed products for commercial production and facilitating the necessary technology.


- Technology: Developing or obtaining updated technology from Principals and / or identifying updated technologies in the various product categories and identify niche areas for developing products implementation of latest techniques to suit specific Organizational requirements.

- Seeking help of Subject matter specialists in queries / problems

- Standardization of components required for different products

- Development of new custom-built products to meet market or customer requirements

- Carrying out technical assessment, evaluation

- Preparation of technical literature, models, slides, transparencies, charts & amp so on to facilitate conduct of seminars / technical training programs at customers place

- Technical evaluation of data of ones own products and those of competitors

- Ensure that the R& amp D activity is completed within a time frame so that no opportunity is lost for organization

Team Competence: Up-dating of technical base of team by observing the latest trends in product categories, study of catalogues, periodicals & amp literature study of competitors products, technological improvements, in existing product for performance up-gradation, features up-gradation, reliability and component availability

- Projects Management (New Products): Products conceptualizing including: identify product, derive specifications, Conceptual design & amp cost estimation

- Additional resources identification required in terms of men, materials, equipment, space, special environment, technology etc.,

Designing: System, component selection, interaction with materials, quality, production & amp finance groups oProto type building, testing, evaluating for reliability and performance, make changes if.


10+ years of experience in R & D/Formulation of Bakery ingredients

Graduate in Food Science.
