Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure compliance within existing legislation and efficiently report non-compliance to management. Monitor future changes in legislation for impact on the company.
Coordinate with all locations to ensure environmental incidents are reported, investigated and effective action taken.
Provide direction and guidance to the management team and employees on QHSE issues within the workplace.
Communicate all quality related issues with customers in an effort to resolve claims in a manner that is mutually beneficial to both the customer and company.
Coordinate with all locations to ensure accidents and near misses are reported, investigated and effective corrective action taken.
Conduct field visits to ensure systems are maintained for the identification, assessment and control of all significant hazards.
Instill safety awareness to employees and promote best practice at all times with regards to safety.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting.
Conduct QHSE training when and where necessary.
ISO 9001 experience preferred.
Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis when necessary.
Communicate effectively with personnel at all levels of the company.
Undertake all other duties as reasonably requested.
Excellent leadership and customer service skills
Ability to train, set priorities, and instruct others on how to perform tasks
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Ability to motivate employees to achieve operational excellence
Excellent verbal and presentation skills
English is the principal language for this position. Bilingual in Spanish is beneficial. This position requires good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and other technical software is required.
