Job Description

Key responsibilities:

-Experience in preparing conceptual & detailed design (specifications, reports, drawings etc) for built environment projects (sports stadia, hospitals, schools, residential and commercial developments etc),
- Responsible for detailed design review and approval, technical and commercial bid review and approval, - checking of drawings, - Working with other built environment teams across the Middle East Unit, - Liaise and interact with client during technical reviews, - Ensure timely and quality delivery of designs as per the defined standards to the clients, - Providing cross-discipline coordination, - Timely delivery of projects with complete confirmation to all safety standards and compliance, - Assisting in all technical issues in design and construction phase, - Ability to communicate knowledgeable in all aspects of built environment capabilities, - Maintaining brand reputation whilst undertaking the projects,
- Identifying, building and maintaining key relationships both internally within Mott MacDonald and externally with key clients.

Candidate Specification:

Hold an Engineering Degree in civil engineering or similar relevant discipline from a recognized university, - 10+ years of design experience of working within a building structures role within infrastructure, retail and commercial projects, - Experience in managing both multiple disciplines and working closely with architectural practices - Experience in an Engineering consultancy is preferable, - An understanding of the design and build process, - Solid knowledge of building regulations, renewable technologies and sustainable and innovative propositions, - Ability to work under own initiative
